These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to Astra Transportation Corp's website at astratransportation.com, our parent and guardian SMS messaging program, and any other digital services we operate. Transportation service itself is governed by separate agreements between Astra and the schools and districts that contract with us.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or any of our digital services — including our SMS messaging program — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

- Website — informational pages about Astra, our team, safety practices, and how to contact us.
- SMS messaging program — optional text-message notifications for parents and guardians of enrolled students about their child's school transportation service.
- Driver and staff application portal — for individuals applying for employment with Astra.
Operational transportation service — daily bus runs, routes, drivers, vehicles — is provided under contracts with school districts, not under these Terms.
3. Eligibility
The SMS messaging program is offered to parents and guardians of students enrolled with the schools and districts Astra serves. You must be at least 18 years old to opt in. By opting in you confirm that the phone number you provide belongs to you and that you have authority to receive messages about the named student's transportation.
4. SMS Messaging Terms
Program description
Astra's SMS program delivers operational notifications about your child's school bus service — for example, delay notifications, schedule changes, weather-related route adjustments, and similar updates. We do not send marketing or promotional messages on this program.
Opt-in
You opt in by providing your mobile number to Astra during enrollment, by signing the consent statement on the Astra student enrollment form, or by verbally consenting when you call dispatch and ask to be added to text notifications.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with operational conditions; a typical parent receives an estimated 5 to 20 messages per school year. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier's plan. Astra does not charge for the messages.
Opt-out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. We will send a one-time confirmation and will not send further messages to that number. Reply START later to resume.

Carrier and delivery disclaimer
Astra and our messaging service provider make reasonable efforts to deliver messages in a timely manner, but we cannot guarantee delivery. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely on SMS as the sole means of receiving safety-critical information — for emergencies, schools and dispatch should be contacted directly.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website or services in any way that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to disrupt, gain unauthorized access to, or interfere with our systems.
- Impersonate another person or provide false information when contacting us.
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or republish content from this site without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astra Transportation Corp and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the website or the SMS program. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website or SMS program will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This section does not limit liability for matters that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information through our services. By using the website or SMS program you agree to the practices described there.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or SMS program after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Westchester County, New York, and you agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
